Picking back up where we left off, Unc & Nico from the "Thoughts of a Relapsing Drug Addict" Podcast continue to discuss the horrors and frustrations that their needle based addiction has caused them thus far. From re-sharpening sharps with household items to successfully infiltrate scar tissue to bypassing clogged syringes, the two get into the gritty dark details of what a heroin addiction exactly looks like. Unc & Nico also rant endlessly about conspiracies, big pharma cover ups and how the absolute stupidity our failing drug war has effected society. Unc also gives a brief update in the intro on rehab recaps, cell phone busts and the specifics of what a "library contract" entails; all on this gruesome episode of Nod Squad.

Greetings again Brethren & Cestren. Unc once again digs deep within the Squadron vaults to extract another old recording, this one done weeks before he entered inpatient so a notorious trigger warning for you all as Unc himself is quite certain that he was loaded at the time this was made. Featuring special guest Nico from the "Thoughts of a Relapsing Drug Addict Podcast," this first half of a two part podcast episode delves into what life was like for the two while in jail and forced to abide by jailhouse politics, the drugs they used while incarcerated, and their thoughts on the stupidity of race segregation amongst inmates. Nico also briefly discusses what his life is like as of recent, his future plans for Ibogaine treatment for heroin addiction and also the challenges of crawling out of a K-Hole and remamerging back into society. Part 2 of this lengthy podcast will be released next Friday; we hope you enjoy and please stay tuned. As always; Peace, Love & All of the Above.

Unc pulls a semi older recording out from the vaults made during his early stays at rehab. This one features his good friend Mike who describes his upbringing in Napa Valley, college life, cocaine induced script writing and the events that began to take him downhill. Unc also shares his experience of driving out on Stoney Creek road with a 40 oz. in one hand & a fentanyl sucker in his mouth plus his last overdose before checking into rehab which required 4 bottles of nalaxone to revive him. Mike continues to detail how his drug use and addiction began to deteriorate his life, his short lived drug dealing days while juggling a job at Trader Joe's and how his situation ended for him to the point of roaming the streets, hiding staff infections via long sleeve T-shirts during many hot summer afternoons. There's also a seasoned ammount of recovery tidbits towards the end so don't think this episode ends on a sad note at all in this uplifting turn around of a story on Nod Squad.

Nicole from the Real_Talk_Recovery Youtube channel joins us to share some of her story detailing her steady incline, devastating plummet into drug use & addiction as well as her triumphant rebound into sobriety of over 4 years. Her war stories are intense, sometimes hilarious, sometimes anxiety ridden but all of which are an entertaining eye opener. Nicole also details what it has been like for her in regards to starting a recovery based Youtube channel, the struggles of breaking through their algorhythms and exactly how toxic the vlogging community and comments section Youtube can be at times. Anyone listening to this episode should definitely check out Nicoles videos and send her some love for the ways in which she has opened up her story for the world to hear and gain perspective from.

Unc pulls from the vaults the first recording made with his new portable microphone while inside rehab with his good friend and soon to be graduate "Danny Can't Stop," who describes what life was like for him before getting into treatment, what the transition has been like for him and how his views have changed since actively working towards recovery. Both Unc & Danny trade war stories back & forth about shooting speed, getting paranoid about nothing, taking LSD at the worst possible moments, rehab drama, and overall life challenges they face while maintaining sobriety. This one is a good trade off of hitting you all with the juicy war stories and sprinkling in a tiny bit of recovery at the end which is sure to entertain everyone who listens.

This is a very different episode of Nod Squad. Unc interviews Jesse, one of the Therapists at his inpatient treatment facility concerning co-dependent relationships, toxic / vulnerable communication, family dynamics, societal stigmas regarding addiction in the United States as well as many other interesting topics. War stories are put aside for this one to talk about major issues regarding drugs and addiction treatment going on in the world today but we think you will greatly enjoy this one. Debauchery will come again next week in the following episodes and we can't wait for you to hear whats in store.

In this very special episode of Nod Squad Unc interviews Gabe; a staff member at the inpatient treatment facility he currently resides within. Gabe has played a big role in helping shape Unc into the person he is today and continues to evolve into. Its pretty difficult not to bond at least somewhat with the person who watches you pee in a cup during UA's, holds you accountable when you break the rules and wakes your lazy ass up for work duties / program elements / and all the other components rehab provides. Gabe has lived quite a life and seen some really dark chaotic things in his life yet throughout it all he has overcome every obstacle life has thrown at him with his sobriety & recovery still intact. It's been an amazing opportunity to get to know Gabe better, hear some of his story as well as his take on what its like getting through early recovery and staying there.

Unc returns again with another inhouse inpatient recording; this time with good friend, rehab companion and special guest Josh aka Slender Man. The two exchange tales of psychotic ex girlfriend backlashes including both taking punches to the face by their female counterparts and Unc even briefly details his past stabbing stories, stalker situations and other sick scenarios. Josh also gets insanely deep and dark in detailing his attempts to start up a successfull grow operation and how it all fell apart in the most morbid and depressing of ways; spiraling himself into a horrible heroin addiction. All the while both also sprinkle in a little of what they have learned about themselves through their early recovery process. This is an amazing episode with intense war stories but also a healthy dosing of recovery as well for anyone listening to enjoy.
